Dr. Dmitri V. Lissin joined DURECT in April 2006 and has over 13 years of experience in clinical research and development. Prior to DURECT, Dr. Lissin was Director of Clinical Development at Titan Pharmaceuticals, where he led advancement of a novel cell-based therapy for Parkinson's Disease and an implantable formulation of buprenorphine for the treatment of opioid addiction. Prior to that, Dr. Lissin worked at Aerogen and Synarc providing medical expertise in design and execution of multiple clinical trials in chronic and acute pain, osteoarthritis, diabetes, COPD and Alzheimer's Disease. Dr. Lissin received his MD degree and Internal Medicine training as part of a medical student exchange program between Harvard Medical School and National Medical University of Russia and completed a post-doctoral research fellowship in neuropharmacology at University of California, San Francisco.
