Job Title: Manufacturing Technician
Location: Vacaville, CA
Description:
Main Purpose of Position: Primary responsibility is to manufacture commercial SAIB, an excipient, in compliance with current Good Manufacturing Practices, applicable regulatory requirements and DURECT policies and standard operating procedures. Main Duties and Responsibilities: Produce commercial SAIB to meet forecast requirements while ensuring regulatory compliance. This includes but is not limited to: - Execution of GMP batch records
- Equipment train maintenance, cleaning and set up
- Room cleaning and warehouse organization
- Maintaining all processing equipment to GMP standards
- Preparing finished goods for shipment
- Maintaining the GMP facility Waste collection and disposition
- Handling of raw materials and supplies
- Executing protocols and implement process improvement Initiate, and/or review deviation reports, investigation reports, and environmental excursion reports as required
- Remaining current on all required training
Requirements:
- AA degree or equivalent experience, preferably in a science related field
- GMP/cGMP knowledge/training
- 2-6 years pharmaceutical GMP manufacturing
- Hands on pharmaceutical processing experience
- Experience with the set up, operation and cleaning of process equipment
- Experience in executing batch records and associated forms
- Strong work ethic
- Effective communication skills
- Excellent time management skills
- Familiar with warehouse equipment and material movement
- Computer literacy (Microsoft Office/Related Programs) a plus
Working Conditions: - Office, Warehouse (cold and warm) and clean room manufacturing environment
- Ability to walk, climb, stand, bend (neck and/or waist), kneel, reach, stoop, squat, twist (neck and/or waist), push, pull, and use of both hands for extended periods of time while performing tasks
- Ability to lift, move and handle materials weighing up to 35 lbs unassisted
- Handling 55 gallon drums utilizing forklift and pallet jacks
- Work environment involves some exposure to physical risks such as operating dangerous equipment or working with chemicals.
